In its second year, I WILL GRADUATE DAY NYC, slated for October 26th 2010 is a mayoral recognized day, endorsed by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and is designed to communicate to every youth throughout the City of New York the importance of education, obtaining a high school diploma and pursuing higher education.
Spearheaded by celebrities, high profile individuals, educators, executives, sports figures and community leaders, I WILL GRADUATE DAY will prove to be a powerful resource tool providing necessary impetus to motivate students to stay in school.
The day will consist of a special youth conference, an awards ceremony, a pep rally and concert. Area schools and community based organizations will host activities, discussions, and events about the importance of graduating from high school and pursing higher education.
Schools who cannot attend the live event will be able to log onto to live streaming during the hours of 3pm-5pm for the award ceremony, pep rally and concert. I WILL GRADUATE t-shirts will be available now through October 27th 2010 to commemorate the event, raise awareness and raise funds for the continuance of the campaign.
The I WILL GRADUATE CAMPAIGN is a youth focused national call to action to rally students, parents, churches, businesses, elected officials and the entire community in a united effort to increase the educational achievement in our youth. We want students to pledge to graduate from high school and pursue higher education. We want parents, elected officials and the community at-large to support students, at every level of need, in obtaining a high school diploma and college degree.

(e4ea) headquartered in New York, New York City, is an entertainment industry charity organization that utilizes the power of celebrities, musicians, sports figures, high profile individuals and entertainment to promote positive messages to young people about the importance of education, personal advancement and social commitment.
